Tacoma/Seattle: Way up there.

I cannot say enough how much I like the Seattle area.  I love the rain and all the green.  It's also got great coffee, and is just a few hours from whatever you want:  mountains, ocean, forest...












The hotel we stayed at welcomes its guests with an outdoor fire pit- so cozy in the rain.  It is known for it's blown glass displays all throughout the hotel, including in the rooms.  My floor had a glass purse with an impression of a glass gun inside.

We had great sushi, watching them make it right in front of us.  They kept sending out free food for us, either because we were "famous" or because we ordered so much food that they felt obligated to give us some on the house.

Now that I'm inching closer toward the end, I've decided to make a list of places in the U.S. that I'd run away to (in order):

                 1.  Seattle, Washington

                 2.  Chicago, IL

                 3.  Washington D.C.

Anyone want to come with?
